What did the Slavs say?

Its shape - extending downwards - resembles the cup of a flower, which collects and stores energy. The longer and wider the skirt, the stronger the connection to the earth and the greater the sense of inner peace. It was believed that such a skirt protected against negative energy, strengthened intuition and facilitated contact with one's own feminine nature.
Energy of plants and colours
Skirts dyed naturally - with plants - are gaining an even deeper dimension. In the past, women dyed the fabrics themselves with extracts from leaves, bark, fruit and flowers. Each plant carried a particular vibration, and the dyeing process was a ritual - not just a handicraft, but a spiritual practice. Such clothing not only connected to the earth through its shape, but also carried the energy of living plants. Dyes made from oak, nettle, verdure or uvette were not only beautiful but also healing - for both body and soul.
Colours also had their own significance - red protected, green supported the heart and peace, blue opened to intuition. Choosing the colour of the skirt was a conscious decision, tailored to the needs of the woman and her life cycle.
